A Proud Papa Moment

Kinzy started soccer this past month and the this was her very first practice. I haven't seen Steve so pleased in a very long time. He and Kinzy were so excited. Steve took her to get cleats and shin guards and you'd have thought he took her to the moon. They both fell asleep that night with grins on their faces. Her first two games have been canceled due to weather, snow the first week, then torrential rain the next. But we are so excited for the first game experience.

Steve, Sharalee, & Kinzy,
I loved the soccer story and pics and thought it was so sweet and exciting that you enjoyed that new experience so much together. Way to go! I'll be anxious to hear how the rest of the practices and games go and hope the weather gets warmer and warmer, so you can get out there and kick that ball. Wonderful memories come to mind of watching my children and grandchildren play soccer, and practicing with them too. Even the five year olds could beat me every time. I thought the uniforms, cleats, shinguards, and socks were fun, too, but remember how hard it was to find the forever missing parts. Every Saturday was a huge wild search, until we got smart enough to set everything out on Friday night. Aaah, good times!
Love,
Grammy & Mom

Steve you are so funny. We are so excited for Kinzy's first game. Sharalee don't bother bringing him a chair for the game. He won't need it. I'm sure he will be running up and down the field with Kinzy!!

LOVE that you are blogging again! Joe and I can't wait to come to one of Kinzy's games. Joe is so proud of her. She called him after her first practice and he was all smiles after that. Good luck Kinz!
