Easter Morning

We had to get up earlier than usual, but it was for a good reason. We had the wonderful opportunity to see the twin daughters of some friends of our be blessed. We woke our girls up, which never happens. They are usually waking us up. Since it was Easter they were in very good moods. This week in our family scripture study we studied about the last week of the Savior's life leading up to what we now celebrate as Easter in hopes of helping our children gain a little more appreciation and understanding about this most important Holiday. We ended with studying the account of the Savior's visit in the Book of Mormon. As we started to show Kinzy a picture of Christ before we'd read anything she shouted out "He is resurrected in this picture!" It made us feel good that she had gotten a little something out of it.

It's so fun to see the excitement of Kinzy and Kaylie finding the Easter eggs, candy, stuffed animals, Enchanted Poster, the Dr. Seuss book, and other surprises. It's almost like we are there with you. And that is really wonderful that Kinzy understood and recognized that Christ was resurrected. That's a big word and a complicated concept for a five-year-old, but you have both done a marvelous job of teaching her the gospel. It sounds like you had a very Happy Easter. We did too with our little Easter Egg Hunt and watching the DVD, "Faith in Christ." It's one of my favorites about the life of the Savior.
