Christmas at my Mom's house is always magical and this year was no different. It is so fun to watch my own kids now enjoy the magic of Christmas
I love my family and the best part of Christmas this year was that I got to spend a lot of quality time with all of them, both my side of our family and Steve's side too. The first part was with my family. We are all still healing from the loss of my dear sister Whitney. I think the best thing we did this Christmas was on Christmas Eve. We lit luminaries in the shape of a heart over her grave since we haven't chosen a marker yet. We had a very sweet and sincere family prayer given by my Dad. We all felt her love, and knew she felt ours too. We dearly miss her, but are still comforted in knowing that we will be together again some day.

Caleb smiles a bunch, but tonight he was in a placid mood, not smiling, just hanging out. Then, I just want you to know that i asked Caleb how whitney is, because he hung out with her before he arrived here on earth, and he seriously smiled in reply. it was definitely a miracle.

What a wonderful Christmas time of celebrating and remembering that must have been. I love the matching pink PJ'S of Kinzy and Kaylie and their cute chef hats. The heart-shaped luminaries and family gathering and prayer for Whitney was very touching. It seems there are frequent reminders of her in my life and I still think about her a lot and wonder how she is doing. I totally agree with you that she is close to all of you and watching over you.
